C16 Pile Cap - Product Spec Sheet

PILE CAP DESIGN OF REINFORCED CONCRETE PILE CAPS DESIGN | C16

`

Summary Design reinforced concrete pile caps supported by two, three, four or five piles, using a strut-and-tie method for analysis.

What makes this module special?

 Various pile arrangements  Eccentric columns  Strut-and-tie analysis  Automated rebar generation

Detailed Description Pile Cap can design rectangular and triangular reinforced concrete pile caps. The caps may be supported by two, three, four, or five piles. Since pile caps are relatively deep, beam theory does not apply. A strut-and-tie analysis method is used as a lower- bound solution. The design output includes the forces in the piles, ties, and struts. Nodal zones checks are performed at column and pile nodes.

Distribution and tie reinforcement are automatically generated to satisfy nominal requirements.

Workflow Reaction forces can be exported from Sumo or Frame through the Design Links. Pad Footing files (.C15) can be imported or exported to Pile Cap to find the most suitable option. Supported Design Codes
